Always…..the next. Never…..the present.
Then I met Jesus. Please don’t switch off. I don’t mean to be corny. It was a profound thing for me.
And I heard Him say this – I came that you might live life in all its fullness, in all its abundance. (John 10:10)
That got me thinking. You can’t do that if you don’t enjoy the present. Here and now. This minute. This day. No matter what the world tries to throw at us.
Do you know why they call the present ‘the present’? Because it’s a gift from God. Every breath we take. Every step. Every taste and smell and experience.
They’re part of the rich fabric that He weaves for us. Abundant. Full. Life.
And in the middle of it all – we can just pause and be still … and know that He is God.
