"Meriam, a mother of two and wife to an American citizen, has been sentenced to 100 lashes and death by hanging on charges of adultery and apostasy (or leaving Islam). Meriam was born to a Muslim father, who left at age 6, but was raised by her Orthodox Christian mother in Western Sudan. Meriam is a graduate of Khartoum University, a medical professional (she studied to be a doctor), and is married to Daniel Wani, a South Sudanese Christian, naturalized U.S. citizen, and New Hampshire resident who is confined to a wheelchair..."

"...On February 27th, Meriam and her 20-month-old son, Martin, were arrested and detained by Sudan’s Public Order Police without charge or trial.

"Meriam was later charged with adultery and apostasy on March 4th, convicted of both charges on May 11th, and sentenced to 100 lashes and death on May 15th after refusing to recant her faith. Facing Judge al-Khaleefa and teh Sudan Fatwa Council, Meriam boldly declared "I am a Christian, and I will remain a Christian...'"

Christian persecution is just a phenomenon in the
Middle East.

Christians aren’t greatly
impacted by persecution.

Whatever persecution there is, the damage is superficial - more a loss of multicultural diversity than anything else.

Christians supposedly bring persecution upon themselves by proselytizing.
