Pregnant Woman Faces Execution For Apostacy, Release International

"A pregnant woman in Khartoum faces execution for ‘leaving Islam’ because her father was a Muslim.

"Meriam Yahia Ibrahim, 27, who is expecting her second child...could be executed soon after giving birth to her second child, due this month. Meriam, who has been imprisoned since February, is said to have been beaten in custody. Her 20-month-old elder son, Martin, is in prison with her because officials have prohibited the boy’s father from caring for him – because he is a Christian."
