Following Palm Sunday celebrations on April 13, Islamic Fulani extremists slaughtered at least 54 Christians in the village of Zikke near Jos, Plateau state. Local leaders are calling the attack "a targeted act of genocide against the Christian community..."
From Twitter Post:
BREAKING: DR. REINER FUELLMICH SENTENCED A HERO IMPRISONED, A NATION EXPOSED Dr. Reiner Fuellmich — international lawyer, truth-teller, and fierce critic of COVID tyranny — has just been sentenced to 3 years and 9 months in a German prison. No acknowledgment of the 1.5 years of unlawful imprisonment he has already endured. No justice. No mercy. No due process. He fought for YOU. He exposed the lies. He challenged the machine. And now, the system he tried to hold accountable has locked him away. GERMANY IS NO LONGER A DEMOCRACY IT’S A REGIME. WHAT THIS MEANS: A man who dared to ask questions is being treated like a criminal. Whistleblowers are tortured — while corrupt officials walk free. The same courts that ignored pandemic crimes now jail those who sought the truth. They fear Fuellmich — because he pulled back the curtain. His crime? Exposing theirs. His sentence? Proof that justice is dead in Berlin. His courage? A signal to every free thinker: they’re coming for YOU next. STAND UP, GERMANY. STAND UP, WORLD. THEY’VE IMPRISONED ONE OF OUR BRAVEST BUT THEY CANNOT SILENCE THE TRUTH. No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 NASB Joshua Youssef Shares An Easter Story
Pastor Raaid stepped carefully over broken concrete and splintered wood scattered across the ground. Construction had only just begun on his new church building…and then Islamic extremists came.
The devastation happened during Holy Week last year. Islamists destroyed the construction site and filled a local well with rocks. Families fled with only the clothes on their backs as their homes were set on fire. They didn’t know that this was the beginning of a resurrection story. But that day, his church's slogan—"Love Never Fails"—became more than words. Standing amid the ruins, Pastor Raaid closed his eyes, lifted his hands, and began to pray. “In the name of our Christ Jesus, protect the people of the church and restore our broken spirits…empower us to forgive those who trespassed and damaged us.” Despite being interrogated by authorities and ordered to halt the rebuilding effort, Pastor Raaid continued shepherding his congregation.
But, yet again—it was only the beginning of the story. In the months that followed, a high-ranking local official heard Pastor Raaid's display of forgiveness. Touched, he reached out to learn more about Jesus. Meanwhile, a friend of the official, a Muslim man named Khons, began having dreams about Jesus. The official decided to connect the man and Pastor Raaid. When Pastor Raaid shared the gospel with Kohns…he gave his heart to the Lord! Kohns passion to know more about Jesus became unquenchable. Our Field Minister Salam said, “They have finished the four gospels and are reading Acts together now!” Even as the physical church foundation has lain in ruins for over a year and the community well remains filled with rocks, Living Water is flowing…and will never run dry. Because of persecution, because of the ruined church building and rocks in the well, because Raaid believed that love never fails, …a Muslim man gave his heart to Christ! Just as the tomb could not hold Jesus, persecution cannot stop His church. The persecution meant to silence Christians…ended up bringing a Muslim man to faith in Jesus. This is the power of love, of the gospel, of the resurrection power of Jesus. Through our Enduring Shepherds Ministry, which you make possible through your generous giving, Help The Persecuted is providing Pastor Raaid with a year's salary covering living expenses and ministry travel. Because of your support, he was able to get a new car so that he can keep visiting the members of his church! But there’s one more piece of this resurrection story. ... Raaid’s church is still in ruins. …and you can help us bring about the final piece of this resurrection story. The police have agreed to allow the church to be rebuilt in the coming months. As long as that agreement holds—please join us in prayer that the Egyptian authorities are merciful here—construction can begin! Together, we can buy the concrete, the wood, and the tools, funding the construction of this church. Imagine: Pastor Raaid’s church meeting again in person after over a year! We can proclaim to extremists, authorities, and the watching world that persecution never ever gets the last word. Because in Egypt, as in Jerusalem 2,000 years ago, Sunday is coming. Today is Good Friday. But Sunday is coming…because Love never fails. This Easter, share the love of Christ with this church in Egypt. |
