Iranian Christian Maryam Naghash Zargaran returned to prison after medical parole - only to be told her sentence had been extended by 45 days! She returned to Evin Prison on Tuesday. Maryam had been granted a five-day leave which was extended by a court ruling as she appealed for conditional release. Her plea was rejected - and prison officials then punished her for not returning to jail ‘on time’. Her health remains poor, despite other periods of medical leave.
