Fulani herdsmen on Sunday night (April 28) killed at least six Christians, including children, in an attack in southeastern Nigeria, sources said. 

​The assailants raided predominantly Christian Ugwujoro Nimbo village, Uzo-Uwani County, in Enugu state at about 11 p.m., area residents said. Seven other Christians were injured, Chijoke Okunna said.

“Seven Christians were wounded during the attack, and they suffered machete cuts,” Okunna told Christian Daily International-Morning Star News in a text message. 

Michael Obinna, another resident, said Fulani herdsmen were behind the attack.

“The herdsmen invaded the village and opened fire on the villagers as they were sleeping in their houses,” Obinna said in a text message. “At least six Christians have been confirmed dead, including a little child.” ...

A Christian pastor was killed last week as he traveled to minister to church members in northern Kaduna state, sources said.

While Fulani herdsmen and other terrorists have been active in southern Kaduna state, the Rev. Manasseh Ibrahim was shot to death by “bandits” who ambushed him in a northern part of the state along the Birnin Gwari-Kaduna Highway on Tuesday (April 23), according to the Birnin Gwari chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN). ...

Churches around the world are set afire and burned to the ground with alarming regularity, and not just in those countries where believers suffer the most heinous persecution for their faith.  Here are listed an historical report regarding churches in Canada that are being burned to the ground and another that is recent.  I wonder how many of these reports may not be what we think?

... After the graves were discovered, churches began to burn. On June 21 (National Indigenous Peoples Day in Canada), an officer with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police was patrolling near Penticton Indian Band land at 1:22 AM when he spotted flames coming from the Sacred Heart Church. Two hours later, police received a call about another fire at St. Gregory’s Church on Osoyoos Indian Band land, roughly 25 miles from Sacred Heart. Both churches were burned to the ground. Investigators described the fires as “suspicious.” ...

... The Bridgetown Baptist Church is located along Highway 1, which is the main street in the community, and dates back to the 1890s, according to the church's website.

Emergency crews were called shortly after 7 a.m. on Friday after a report of black smoke coming from the building, said Staff Sgt. Mike Maxwell with the Annapolis District RCMP.

Randy Sheridan, chief of the Bridgetown Volunteer Fire Department, said the flames engulfed the building and were "pretty well out" by 11 a.m.

"It'll be a total loss," he said.  ...

​... The situation is hardly unique, nor is it confined to the United Methodist Church, a denomination that has undergone a recent split over the issue of LGBTQ+ inclusiveness. Just 16% of Americans say religion is the most important thing in their life, according to a new report released this week by the Public Religion Research Institute. A 2020 survey found that the average congregation size across Christian denominations is less than half what it was in 2000 — down to 65 from 137. It also found that on average, a third of churchgoers are 65 or older, twice that age group's representation in the general population. These numbers held true for Protestants, Evangelicals and Catholics alike. Only congregations of other faith traditions — including Islam, Baha'i and Judaism — are seeing increases, the survey said.

This is an old battle, very old, David Daleiden brings us up to date below.  Perhaps we can object using our own pocketbooks?  How is it possible to justify payment to any one of these companies for any reason?  God will just us most severely on this issue.

... Throughout the past year, Planned Parenthood has been defending itself against allegations that it sells the body parts of babies it aborts in its clinics for profit. The abortion business has been under congressional investigation since the release of undercover videos that exposed its alleged practice of harvesting the organs of aborted babies for sale. 

Though Planned Parenthood has denied any wrongdoing in its sale of body parts, the organization also released a statement in October of 2015 announcing it will no longer accept payments for aborted fetal tissue. The abortion business and its leftwing media supporters continue to insist the videos, produced by Center for Medical Progress, were “deceptively edited.”

David Daleiden has been under attack via lawfare for quite a number years now.  He writes:

"Planned Parenthood and the National Abortion Federation are trying to have Judge Orrick—who opened, ran, and funded a Planned Parenthood clinic in San Francisco--hold me in CONTEMPT of court for re-posting the new undercover video clips Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene released at her Congressional hearing last month!

It's completely outrageous and obviously unconstitutional. My First Amendment attorneys just filed our opposition today to PPFA and NAF's outrageous attempt at censoring this new damning and incriminating information (released by Congress into the public record!) about their trafficking and sale of aborted baby body parts. We go to court on Monday..."

"...Without your support, we will not be able to stop Planned Parenthood's years-long attempt at censorship to cover up their crimes against women and infants.

It's clear what Planned Parenthood and NAF are afraid of.

This undercover footage—which they relied on Judge Orrick, their judge from Planned Parenthood San Francisco, to censor for years--implicates PPFA and NAF leadership in selling aborted baby organs for valuable consideration against the law, and using criminal partial-birth abortions to do so.

Selling aborted baby body parts is a federal felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison or a fine of up to $500,000 (42 U.S.C. 289g-2)..."

'... Safety.

We’d like to believe that if we live in certain places, stay away from other places, associate with some people, but avoid others, we will be safe.

However, we cannot control it, nor can we predict when we will be safe and when we will not be safe.   Jesus never guarantees our safety. Quite the opposite, in fact.

Toward the end of His last supper conversation, Jesus tells His disciples, “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

Expect trouble in the world, Jesus tells us. Our peace of mind does not come from outward circumstances or events. Our peace comes from being in Him, the Prince of Peace who has overcome the world.

And our safety—it comes from trusting in the Lord, no matter what our circumstances or geography. “The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe” (Proverbs 29:25) ....'
