Two Christians Hospitalized in China
"A Catholic church in Leshan, a city in south-central China, had agreed to sell
some property to a construction company. Parishioners of the church had gone to
the property to protest because the construction company had begun development
on the land, even though the company has not yet paid the church the amount the
two parties had agreed on. The protest turned violent and two parishioners were
hospitalized. One, a woman in her 60s, was reported to be in critical
condition."

than a year ago. The congregation has refused to cave under pressure. They
continue to try to meet every Sunday, and every Sunday members are taken away
for questioning by the police. All the church’s pastors have been placed under
