Read Ministry Intercedes in Philippines, by Open Doors, at Mission Network News.

"Zamboanga City is under siege. Philippine troops have retaken parts of the city from Muslim rebels, but the fighting has taken its toll on the residents. Roughly 80,000 fled the fighting and took refuge wherever they could. Open Doors has been involved with relief operations, rescuing starving families. Several churches have also been damaged in the fighting. Please pray for the Christian workers who are meeting needs during this crisis."

He trains His soldiers not in tents of ease and luxury, but by turning them out and subjecting them to forced marches and hard service.
