Worldwide Illuminati Network
Supporting Witchcraft and Pagan Lifestyles
To Debut on Halloween

Picture

"NEW YORK — A new worldwide network that will support new age,
witchcraft, spiritual, pagan and other alternative lifestyles and feature
a 24-hour online television and radio network plus Internet on demand
services will debut October 31, said co-founders Steve McManus and
Elizabeth Sturino.

“People interested in these lifestyles haven’t had a centralized location
where they can find the latest information,” McManus said. “With the Illuminati
Network, they will not only be able to find such items as their favorite occult
radio personalities, but they will also be able to find information on all
alternative lifestyle events and issues.”

The network will also have children’s programming for
parents who want to educate their children about their
lifestyle."

1 Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
3 For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh,
4 So that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
5 For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
6 For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace,
7 Because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so,
8 And those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.
10 If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
12 So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh,
13 For if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
14 For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, "Abba! Father!" 16 The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God,
17 and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.
18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
19 For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God.
20
For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope
21 That the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now.
23 And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body.
24 For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees?
25 But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.
26 In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words;
27 And He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
29 For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren;
30 and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.
31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?
32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?
33 Who will bring a charge against God's elect? God is the one who justifies;
34 Who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.
35 Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 Just as it is written, For your sake we are being put to death all day we were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.
37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.
38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

From the Hand of God

12 So I turned to consider wisdom, madness and folly; for what will the man do who will come after the king except what has already been done? 13 And I saw that wisdom excels folly as light excels darkness. 14 The wise man's eyes are in his head, but the fool walks in darkness. And yet I know that one fate befalls them both. 15 Then I said to myself, "As is the fate of the fool, it will also befall me. Why then have I been extremely wise?" So I said to myself, "This too is vanity." 16 For there is no lasting remembrance of the wise man as with the fool, inasmuch as in the coming days all will be forgotten. And how the wise man and the fool alike die!  17 So I hated life, for the work which had been done under the sun was grievous to me; because everything is futility and striving after wind.
Picture
The Parable of the Rich Fool, Rembrandt, 1627
18 Thus I hated all the fruit of my labor for which I had labored under the sun, for I must leave it to the man who will come after me. 19 And who knows whether he will be a wise man or a fool? Yet he will have control over all the fruit of my labor for which I have labored by acting wisely under the sun. This too is vanity. 20 Therefore I completely  despaired of all the fruit of my labor for which I had labored under the sun. 21 When there is a man who has labored with wisdom, knowledge and skill, then he gives his legacy to one who has not labored with them. This too is vanity and a great evil. 22 For what does a man get in all his labor and in his striving with which he labors under the sun? 23 Because all his days his task is painful and grievous; even at night his mind does not rest. This too is vanity. 24 There is nothing better for a man than to eat and drink and tell himself that his labor is good. This also I have seen that it is from the hand of God. 25 For who can eat and who can have enjoyment without  Him? 26 For to a person who is good in His sight He has given wisdom and knowledge and joy, while to the sinner He has given the task of gathering and collecting so that he may give to one who is good in God's sight. This too is vanity and striving after wind.

The Power of the Underground Church

10/19/2012

China holds the second largest economy in the world.  Her people face a spiritual void; they are choosing between materialism and religion.  Today, the population of China is 1.3 billion people.   Members of the church numbered at 750,000 60 years ago.  30 years ago, 3,000,000 people belonged to the church.  Today, there are 60-80 million believers in China.  "This growth represents one of the largest revivals in the history of Christianity," and it has come in the face of continued repression and persecution.

“To focus the world’s attention on the plight of Christians, where persecution occurs and religious freedoms are limited, Open Doors instituted the World Watch List. Every country in the world is evaluated based on questions that go to the very heart of the issue.

"Does the country have laws that provide for religious freedoms?  Is it legal to become a Christian?  Are Christians killed, imprisoned or institutionalized because of their faith? Is the printing or distribution of Christian materials prohibited?  Are the meeting places or homes of Christians being attacked for religious reasons?

"China.  Although the country still authorizes churches, there are many places where followers of Jesus still suffer from persecution, sometimes very severe, at the hands of local government officials.  China has a history of religious intolerance, one that dates back to 1949, when Mao Tse Tung formed The People’s Republic of China."

Listen to this powerful testimony.  “The Lord was with us.  He would not let His church die.”  “We worshipped, we prayed.  We believed God would keep us in life, or in death.”

Many Spiritual Gifts, One Spirit

1 Corinthians 12

1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware.
2 You know that when you were pagans, you were led astray to the mute idols, however you were led.
3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is accursed”; and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.
4 Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5 And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord.
6 There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons.
7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.
8 For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit;
9 to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,
10 and to another the effecting of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues.
11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills.
12 For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ.
13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.
14 For the body is not one member, but many.
15 If the foot says, “Because I am not a hand, I am not a part of the body,” it is not for this reason any the less a part of the body.
16 And if the ear says, “Because I am not an eye, I am not a part of the body,” it is not for this reason any the less a part of the body.
17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the sense of smell be?
18 But now God has placed the members, each one of them, in the body, just as He desired.
19 If they were all one member, where would the body be?
20 But now there are many members, but one body. 21 And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; or again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.”
22 On the contrary, it is much truer that the members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary;
23 and those members of the body which we deem less honorable, on these we bestow more abundant honor, and our less presentable members become much more presentable,
24 whereas our more presentable members have no need of it. But God has so composed the body, giving more abundant honor to that member which lacked,
25 so that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another.
26 And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.
27 Now you are Christ’s body, and individually members of it.
28 And God has appointed in the church, first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, various kinds of tongues.
29 All are not apostles, are they? All are not prophets, are they? All are not teachers, are they? All are not workers of miracles, are they?
30 All do not have gifts of healings, do they? All do not speak with tongues, do they? All do not interpret, do they?
31 But earnestly desire the greater gifts.  And I show you a still more excellent way.

Praise the Lord, by Jack Kelley

Today is not the first day that Jack Kelley has written an article that so speaks to a personal situation, the difficulty of a loved one, my country or the state of humanity in general.  I currently have several dear friends who have, in a way, hit bottom.  Jack's lesson today is very much appreciated.  There is no better way to tackle the apparent misfortune in our lives, than to give hearty thanks for it, praise the Lord, and march forth with a smile and surety in our faith.  Seems strange, but out of every difficulty there comes strength, learning and a little more wisdom to help deal the next time around.  Thank you, Jack, your missives are very much appreciated!

Here is Jack Kelley's wonderful article, quoted in full below.  I have taken the liberty to emphasize in bold type.

Psalm 134

Praise the LORD, all you servants of the LORD who minister by night in the house of the LORD. Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the LORD.   May the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth, bless you from Zion.

If the priests working in the Temple needed reminding to praise the Lord, how much more do we? Some of us spend a half hour or so on Sunday mornings praising the Lord and that’s it.

Yet the Lord blesses us all day every day.  Shouldn’t our praise in some way approximate His blessing?  And so what if you’re in a bad place right now?  He’s gotten you out of bad places before and will do so again.  Besides, you’ll soon be in Heaven with Jesus where you’ll be blessed forever.  Praising the Lord is just the thing you need.  Praise The Lord!

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
(Phil. 4:4-7)

Since you can only think one thought at a time, the time you spend praising the Lord is time you won’t be able to spend feeling bad about your situation. The Lord knows the trouble you’re in and He knows how He’s going to get you out of it. If you start praising Him now, who knows, He might deliver you sooner. So make a “contrary to feelings” choice. Put your favorite praise CD in the player or turn to your Christian radio station and start praising Him. I guarantee you’ll soon feel much better. Praise the Lord!

And if you’re in a great place, you shouldn’t need reminding. You should already be praising Him. It wasn’t your brilliance that got you here, but His blessing. There are plenty of brilliant folks in the world who never get anywhere. Look at the path you’ve taken to get where you are and pick out the unexplained coincidences. Those are where God got involved and decided to remain anonymous. Praise the Lord!

Praise the LORD, all you servants of the LORD who minister by night in the house of the LORD. Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the LORD.  May the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth, bless you from Zion.

Jesus Was Also Tempted

10/3/2012

Picture
We are all sinners at heart.  There is no doubt.  Our holy book speaks of this often.  But here is not where I wish to focus today.  I wish to remind myself that Jesus was also tempted, but remained untouched by sin.  He is a rock, here for us when we suffer; He knows, for He has experienced the same.

Hebrews 2:18
For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted.

Further, He will never bring a temptation into our lives that we cannot endure.  If you look closely at your life experiences, you will see that there has always been also an alternate path to the temptations that have arisen, a way out, an escape from the torment.

1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.

Humans are quick to experience feelings of guilt and often keep terrible, self-destructive thoughts from view.  The consequences of these are dire; they weaken us, make us feel unworthy of His love, strike us down.  When we consider from where these thoughts are coming, it may be easier to train ourselves to let them go.  They come from our arch enemy, the great deceiver.  We are loved.  We have accepted Jesus Christ, as our Lord and Savior.  We have confessed our sins.  We are filled with the Holy Spirit.  He will never leave us alone, all by our lonesome, to deal with the great tempter.  Why is His suffering on the cross, His promise to us, sometimes not enough to keep us from right action, from such hideous self-loathing?

Mark has advice for us:
Mark 14:38
Keep watching and praying that you may not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.

It is the nature of our being to err.  Yet, we are also able to resist inappropriate urgings.  He has.  He has suffered the worst of temptation.  The big lizard was literally in his face.

Matthew 4:1-11 (The Temptation of Jesus)
Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
2 And after He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He then became hungry.
3 And the tempter came and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”
4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’”
5 Then the devil took Him into the holy city and had Him stand on the pinnacle of the temple,
6 and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down; for it is written, ‘He will command His angels concerning You’; and ‘On their hands they will bear You up, So that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.’”
7 Jesus said to him, "On the other hand, it is written, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’”
8 Again, the devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory;
9 and he said to Him, “All these things I will give You, if You fall down and worship me.”
10 Then Jesus said to him, “Go, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only.’”
11 Then the devil left Him; and behold, angels came and began to minister to Him.  Therein is much help for us who also suffer temptation.  Is it a matter of training ourselves, so that one day our automatic response will be to 'worship the Lord our God and serve Him only?'

He has resisted temptation and shown us the way.  He would have us follow Him.  He would have us in the spirit of joy and mighty appreciation for what He has done for us.  He would have us in the spirit of peace, in order that we may honor our creator.  It is guilt that keeps us from such bliss when we can't resist the horny beast and his never ending effort to lead us astray.

Temptation.  Let It Go.  Give it to the Lord.  We ask that God keep us from it.

 Matthew 6:8-13
8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever.
Amen.
(KJV)

"Come boldly, believer, for despite the whispers of Satan and the doubts of your own heart, you are greatly loved. Meditate on the exceeding greatness and faithfulness of divine love this evening, and then go to your bed in peace."
